Seeing is Believing – Movement Analysis  of Forward Stroke

 

We will use video analysis of your kayaking to improve skill level, awareness of your movement patterns and what to develop in your kayaking.

 

· Introduction

· Video “ Olympic Sprint Race” – Greg Barton & Norman Bellingham

· Pre-Instruction Video Analysis – group participants will view footage of racers crossing the DHC finish line. Individual participants will be able to describe and analyze their forward stroke identifying an area to challenge and improve.

· Forward Stroke Demonstration/Drills/Practice/Application

· Post-Instruction Video Analysis

Introduction

· Dry Land Demonstration – (The Forward Stroke)

· Group Dry Land Drill – (Posture & Rotation)

· Questions & Answers – Where to find group & private instructional opportunities/local resources

· Clinic Participants will analyze DHC racers’ forward strokes as they approach the finish line.
